A 9-YEAR-OLD PREVENTED A THIEF FROM STEALING THE FAMILY CAR . . . WHILE HIS THREE YOUNGER BROTHERS WERE IN THE BACKSEAT:

Hero of the Day-9y/o Malik Medford of Charleston, SC.

On Wednesday, Malik's mother Stephanie left the car running while she went into a convenience store. But she left Malik and his three brothers . . . who are all under the age of four . . . inside the car.
Anyway, while Stephanie was in the store, a 32-year-old scumbag named Jonathan Martin hopped into the driver's seat and tried to drive off with the boys.
But before he got the chance, Malik grabbed the keys and pulled them out of the ignition. Then, in an attempt to get the keys back, Jonathan PUNCHED Malik in the face so hard that he actually fell out of the car. Fortunately, Malik hung on to the keys, and Jonathan ran off.

A little while later, Jonathan was arrested in a parking lot across the street. He's been charged with grand larceny and four counts of kidnapping, and is being held on $250,000 bond.

What about the mom?!??!?!

Molly King a DJ from The Hawk's sister station loves Bubble wrap so I decided to surprise her. Check out the video...

As I was unwrapping a box of martini glasses today I found one of favorite items in the world...bubble wrap. Even tho I was at work, it's bnuble wrap!!! Everyone loves to pop bubble wrap!!!So off to my office I went to enjoy the soothing sounds of popping bubbles. I figured I'd start at the corner and work my way thru the whole sheet, all the while knowing that 10 seconds into it I would try to pop them all at once like a man deserted in the desert trying to squeeze the last drop of H2O from a canteen.

So with my thumb and index finger ready...I commence to popping. BUT WAIT!!!! THERE IS NO SOUND!!! WTF!!!! After some careful inspection it soon became clear the bubbles were interconnected through a network of little tunnels. These bubbles were unpoppable!!!! I never thought I would ever catch myself saying those four words, as one of the defining characteristics of a bubble is its inherent ability to be popped. Yet here they were...unpoppable bubbles.

What kind of sick individual actually spent time thinking up & creating such an evil device?!?! Whoever it is now resides in the deepest part of my hatred, along with Carrot top and Bin Laden. I must shelter the younglings... adolescence without bubble wrap simply isn't right and could possibly cause permanent damage.

I suppose breakables will make it to their destinations unbroken..but at what cost?!?! We must stop this before it gets epedemic proportions. Do your part and ask when shipping to only use poppable bubble wrap. If they send you the unpoppable kind, destroy whatever they sent you and say it was because their packaging was inadequate!!!

What's next...undrinkable cocktails?????

Lost Lottery Ticket
A South Florida man has lost a winning scratch-off lottery ticket worth $500,000! Louis Tolentino hopes lightning will strike twice and someone will turn in his winning ticket. A clerk at the store where he bought the ticket confirms it was a winner. The clerk told Tolentino he had to cash it in at the lottery office in West Palm Beach. Somewhere along the way he lost it. Tolentino panicked and retraced his steps, with no luck. Without his signature on it, its finders-keepers and anyone can cash in the ticket.

When Is The Best Time To Buy…..?
Timing is everything. To get the best deals, you’ve got to know when to shop. There are some purchases that are difficult to time perfectly, such as stocks, airplane tickets and gas. But many other consumer staples – from electronics to furniture – go on sale predictably at certain times of the year, saving you a bundle if you plan your purchases accordingly. FinancialSurvey offers tips for the best buys for every month of the year:

January: Linens – Save 10% - 60% on sheets, blankets, towels and more shopping department stores’ “white sales” in January.
January/February: Digital cameras – New camera models start arriving at retailers. That means steep discounts on last year’s perfectly good merchandise.
March: Frozen food – March is National Frozen Food Month, and sales and coupons abound. If you have a freezer, stock up.
April: Used cars – Looking for a used car? This is the best month to shop. Every year, car dealers stock up to kick off the spring selling season. Buyers have a full selection of inventory to choose from and plenty of willing negotiators to land the best deal.
May: Mattresses – As retailers make room for new models, mattress shoppers will find a lot of wiggle room on price. Look for discounts of up to 50%, as well as promotions for free delivery of your new mattress and disposal of the old one.

WHO POACHED HUMPTY?!?!

PETERBOROUGH – All the king's horses and all the king's men have been scrambling to crack the case of the missing eggman, and now the Peterborough Players are asking the public to help return Humpty Dumpty to his favorite wall.
The Players' Humpty Dumpty costume, designed and made by hand for the theater company's 2007 production of "Alice's Adventure in Wonderland," was last seen walking away with the Cheshire Cat on May 16, during Peterborough's Children and the Arts Festival parade.
Lisa Murray, spokeswoman for Peterborough Players, said the theater company breaks out many of its costumes, including Humpty, during the annual arts festival and allows children to try them on.
The costumes were then supposed to be worn by actors in the parade, but Murray said it appears someone outside the company got their hands on the eggman.
"I saw him walking away with the Cheshire Cat when the parade ended," Murray said.
She assumed that Humpty and his pal were just caught up in the post-parade chaos. However, when Humpty missed his cue for a performance scheduled at noon, Murray knew some bad eggs might have hatched a plot to beat it out of town with the costume.
The police were called in to crack the case, and were able to track down the Cheshire Cat costume, returned by a 15-year-old teenager from Temple, Murray said.
"He was rather sheepish," Murray said.

But when the trail to Humpty Dumpty turned cold, the directors of Peterborough Players started to worry that the eggman's goose was cooked.
"We'd really just like to get the costume back," Murray said.
The company has declared that no one will fry for absconding with the costume.
"We won't prosecute or press charges," she said. "We'll even arrange for a drop-off at an undisclosed location and offer amnesty in exchange for Humpty's return."
Since Humpty's great fall, Peterborough Players have been hard at work preparing for their production of "I Remember Mama," which premiers this weekend.

LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. (AP) - It's not what you would call a
high-speed chase. Deputies in western New York report they were
trying to stop a young man in Amish country in a horse and buggy.
Authorities say Jonas Hershberger headed across fields and into the
woods in the town of Napoli. According to deputies, the
20-year-old eventually ditched the buggy and made a run for it. He
was busted at a nearby home. Hershberger now faces a number of
charges, including reckless endangerment. His bail has been set at
$250.

My questions….
How reckless can you get with a horse and buggy?!?!
What were they trying to pull him over for? An out of date inspection on his buggy? Failing to pick up after his horse? Not using a turn signal? OH! I know – the caution triangle they have to put on the back of the buggy must have fallen off...GANGSTAH BIZNITCH!!! WORD TO JEBADIAH!!!

The reason why the economy is in the crapper!!!

Hey guys it's Fronk and I know I'm going to sound old when I say this...but it's the twenty somethings that don't have basic math skillis that are messing up the economy!!! Case in point... I went out ot a local eatery this past weekend (one of those movie & pub places) and I ordered a bowl of clam chowder to enjoy during the movie. When the bill came it read in big bold black magic marker "$4.30", so I gave the waitress a $20 and off she went. A few minutes later she returns with my change of $6. As you are thinking now so was I $6 is not the correct change, so I called her back and asked her to explain. She then points to other side of the bill to show me her math. Let's just forget about the $0.30 you will soon find out that was too much to handle for her...se shows me her math work "20-4=6". So I asked her "What's 20 minus 6?" her response "4", I then asked "Well, what's 10 minus 4?". All I got was a blank look for about 10 seconds and then she says "I'll have to get my manager" as she scurried away. Five minutes go by and the manager returns with the other $10 and his sincere apologies. He shouldn't have been sorry...WE SHOULD ALL FEEL SORRY...THAT'S OUR FUTURE!!!!

A guy named Thomas Perls led the study. He says, quote, "We've seen centenarians go through huge amounts of stress, and time and time again they've shown us how . . . it doesn't get to them."
